Successful commercialization of Rotary Steerable System (RSS) Short Receiver RuLink

RuLink is a downhole tool, designed and manufactured by Geofit Production Center, that receives RSS control unit signal and transmits it to MWD (Measurement while Drilling) tool. This technology is critical for timely verification of the desired RSS directional response and RSS tool status update in real-time

During active field tests, RuLink tool has demonstrated an exceptional reliability, accumulating at the moment more than 6,000 pumping hours on the real jobs. This success validates its performance and durability, ensuring it meets the highest industry standards.

We are proud to bring this solution to the market and look forward to supporting our Customers with high-quality, locally developed technologies.

28 February 2023 First Commercial Job of SIB-R 6 3/4", Russian High-Tech EM Wave Propagation Resistivity Tool

After multiple field tests of the 172-mm SIB-R tool combined with reference EM wave propagation resistivity tools, the first commercial job was performed at the Van-Yeganskoye oilfield in West Siberia.
An interval over 2,000 meters was drilled and more than 175 circulating hours were accumulated during the run. No incident was registered during the drilling. Phase Shift and Attenuation resistivity measurements acquired while drilling were timely provided to the customer to make critical geosteering decisions in real-time and perform formation evaluation using tool memory data.
